**ILOILO CITY** – In a series of successful operations, the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) has arrested Iloilo province’s eighth most wanted person, apprehended 26 wanted individuals across the region, and seized a significant amount of suspected shabu.
On Tuesday, authorities apprehended a 56-year-old resident of Barangay Abilay Sur, Oton, Iloilo, in Barangay Tanza, Iloilo City. He is facing charges of rape and was arrested based on a warrant issued by a regional trial court branch in Iloilo City, with no bail recommended.
The same day, PRO 6 apprehended 26 wanted individuals throughout the region. This included three most wanted persons and 23 other individuals with outstanding warrants.
In a separate operation in the Molo district of Iloilo City, PRO 6 seized approximately 195 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P1.3 million. Six individuals, including a high-value target and five street-level individuals, were arrested during the drug bust.
These successful operations highlight PRO 6’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of the region’s communities. The arrests and drug seizure demonstrate a significant blow to criminal activities in Iloilo and the surrounding areas.
