**Bengaluru, September 19, 2024:** A police complaint has been filed against Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu for his alleged remarks against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The FIR, registered at the High Grounds police station, accuses Bittu of spreading false information and promoting enmity between groups.
The complaint was filed by a Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee official, stemming from Bittu’s statements regarding Gandhi’s comments on the condition of Sikhs in India during a recent US visit. Bittu, who is also the Minister of State for Railways, accused Gandhi of being a “terrorist” for receiving support from individuals involved in bomb-making.
The Congress party condemned Bittu’s remarks as “senseless,” and the FIR alleges his words are inflammatory and likely to incite violence. The charges against Bittu include making false statements, promoting enmity between groups, and giving provocation with the intent to cause riots.
