Wed Sep 18 13:23:00 UTC 2024: ## Drunk Man Robbed While Sleeping in Car, Falls Back Asleep After Incident
**IPOH** – A 60-year-old man in Ipoh was robbed while sleeping in his car after consuming alcohol. The incident occurred on Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah around 1am on September 17th.
According to Perak police chief Datuk Azizi Mat Aris, the victim had pulled over to the side of the road due to his intoxication. At approximately 5:10am, two suspects smashed the back window of his car, waking him up. They stole his mobile phone and car keys before fleeing the scene.
Despite the robbery, the still intoxicated victim fell back to sleep. He was eventually woken up by a passerby at 8am and contacted his wife for spare car keys.
Police are investigating the incident under Section 392 of the Penal Code for robbery and are currently pursuing the suspects.
