Tue Sep 17 18:30:15 UTC 2024: ## CTET Exam Fee and Structure Announced: Multiple Choice Questions, No Negative Marking

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will consist of two papers: Paper 1 for aspiring teachers of classes I to V, and Paper 2 for those aiming to teach classes VI to VIII.

Candidates from the general category will pay an examination fee of Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both. The exam will comprise only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four options for each question. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The CTET exam is applicable to Central Government schools as well as schools under the administrative control of Union Territories including Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and the NCT of Delhi.
