**Batac City, Ilocos Norte** – In celebration of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.’s 107th birth anniversary, Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, alongside President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., led the distribution of over P150 million worth of agricultural inputs to farmers, fisherfolk, and livestock growers in the province. The event, held at the Mariano Marcos State University Covered Court on September 11, saw the participation of newly appointed Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Director John B. Pascual and other government officials.

The agricultural assistance included multi-crop cultivators, tractors, combined-harvesters, fuel subsidy vouchers, seeds, starter feeds, fishery paraphernalia, and solar-powered irrigation systems.

In his speech, Governor Marcos Manotoc emphasized the importance of technology in improving agricultural practices, urging the cooperatives to maximize the benefits of modern tools. He assured farmers of his continued support, stating, “This is what we need in our province to improve our technology, our mechanization, our yield, processing, and marketing. Rest assured, I am here for all our farmers in the whole province. If you are a farmer, we will help you.”

Governor Marcos Manotoc expressed his gratitude to President Marcos Jr. and the Department of Agriculture for their continued support of Ilocos Norte’s agricultural sector. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the sector through the adoption of modern technology, responsible practices, and strong partnerships with stakeholders. These efforts aim to stimulate economic growth, improve livelihoods, and contribute to the overall development of the province and the country.
