**Luceine:** Indian hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and former goalkeeper PR Sreejesh have been shortlisted for prestigious awards by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). Both players played crucial roles in India’s bronze medal win at the Paris Olympics.
Harmanpreet, who was the top scorer at the Olympics with 10 goals, has been nominated for the “Player of the Year” award. Sreejesh, who retired after the Paris Olympics, is in the running for the “Best Goalkeeper” award.
The winners will be chosen based on votes from national team captains, coaches, the public, and media representatives.
Harmanpreet faces stiff competition from Thierry Brinkman, Jelle de Mol (both Netherlands), Hans Muller (Germany), and Zac Wallace (England) for the “Player of the Year” award.
