**Mumbai, September 18, 2024:** The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a water cut in specific areas of the K East and K West divisions from 8 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024, to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024. This interruption is due to the replacement of four valves on the 750 mm diameter Parle-Versova outlet at Veravali Reservoir-2 in the East Zone.

The BMC has identified several locations that will be affected by the water cut, including Mahakali Marg, Poonam Nagar, Goni Nagar, and others in K East. K West areas impacted include those west of C.D. Barfiwala Road, Upashraya Galli, Swami Vivekanand Marg, and more.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to use water sparingly during the water cut and to stock up on supplies beforehand. After the repair work is completed, the BMC recommends boiling and filtering water for the next 4 to 5 days to ensure its safety.

The BMC has assured residents that the water supply will be restored as soon as possible after the valve replacement is completed.
