**New Delhi:** Maruti Suzuki has announced that its compact SUV, the Fronx, has achieved a remarkable milestone, selling 1 lakh units within a mere 10 months of its launch. This makes the Fronx the fastest vehicle in both the SUV and passenger vehicle categories in India to reach this milestone.
The automaker is celebrating the achievement with a new campaign for the Fronx Turbo, titled “Thrill Has a New Shape.” This campaign emphasizes the exhilarating driving experience offered by the car’s powerful turbo engine.
“The Fronx Turbo embodies innovation and the spirit of pushing boundaries to deliver a thrilling driving experience,” said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. “With its powerful engine, stunning design, and engineering that speaks to the aspirations of modern drivers, it is a standout choice for customers seeking performance.”
The Fronx Turbo is powered by a 1.0-litre KSeries Boosterjet petrol engine featuring smart hybrid technology. Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Fronx Turbo boasts a claimed fuel economy of 21.5 kmpl with manual transmission and 20.01 kmpl with the automatic gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers is reflected in the genesis of this campaign, according to Banerjee. The campaign positions the Fronx Turbo as a vehicle that not only meets expectations but surpasses them.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is also available with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, paired with either a manual or an AGS transmission. Earlier this year, a CNG-powered variant of the Fronx was also introduced. Priced at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, the Fronx is sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa channel.
