**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Prime Video is set to launch an Indian adaptation of the popular reality show “The Traitors,” with renowned media personality Karan Johar confirmed as the host. Based on the BAFTA and Emmy-winning format created by IDTV and RTL Netherlands, the unscripted series will be produced by BBC Studios India Productions and stream exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles.

The show, which has already captivated audiences in over 20 countries, pits 20 contestants against each other in a royal palace. They must navigate physical and psychological challenges while vying for a cash prize. The twist? Some players are secretly designated as “traitors” with the mission of eliminating the “innocents” without revealing their true identity.

Nikhil Madhok, head of originals at Prime Video India, described the show as a “significant milestone” for the platform.
