Wed Sep 18 15:30:28 UTC 2024: ## Last Lunar Eclipse of 2024 Doesn’t Affect India, But Could Bring Global Challenges

**New Delhi, October 28, 2024** – The final lunar eclipse of the year occurred today, beginning at 6:12 AM and lasting until 10:17 AM. This penumbral eclipse, which reached its peak at 8:14 AM, will not be visible in India.

While the eclipse is a significant astronomical event, it will not have any astrological effects in India, according to astrologers. Since the eclipse starts before sunrise in India, the “sutak” period, which typically begins nine hours before the eclipse, will not be applicable.

The eclipse, which is considered a significant celestial event in astrology, will be visible in Europe, Africa, North and South America, and several oceans. However, the sutak period will only be observed in these regions where the eclipse is visible.

Although the eclipse doesn’t directly affect India, astrologers warn that the alignment of planets during this period could lead to natural disasters, conflicts, and financial instability globally.

“This eclipse could bring about a surge in natural disasters, particularly in the Middle East, America, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Russia,” said astrologer Shailendra Pandey. “The placement of planets also suggests potential for conflict and a volatile stock market.”

Pandey recommends exercising caution with financial investments over the next month, and suggests practicing meditation and chanting mantras to counter the negative influence of the eclipse.

The eclipse, occurring in the Pisces zodiac sign, is believed to be influenced by the planet Jupiter, adding to the potential for these challenges.

While the eclipse is a cause for concern, experts advise Indians to remain calm and avoid any unnecessary fear.
