**Brenham, Texas** – The Blinn College Buccaneers women’s soccer team dominated their Region XIV matchup against Paris Junior College on Tuesday, securing a 2-0 victory.

Sophomore midfielders Annika Murdoch and Alyssa Wright each scored goals for the Buccaneers, who now sit tied for first place in the South Division with a 2-3 record.

Murdoch broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, assisted by freshman midfielder Rebecca Madric. Wright, assisted by sophomore forward Marissa Aparicio, added an insurance goal in the 76th minute. Blinn sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Clark recorded three saves to secure the clean sheet.

“Our team needed this win today, and our players came out and performed exceptionally well,” said Bucs head coach Alexandria Jackson. “I’m extremely proud of them. Two sophomore players scored incredible goals, and our backline continued their consistent performance, which has been a highlight for us all season.”

Blinn will face Angelina College this Friday at 5 p.m. at Brenham’s Rankin Field in a crucial matchup for the South Division lead.
