**New Delhi, September 16:** In a grand ceremony today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first “Namo Bharat Rapid Rail” connecting Bhuj and Ahmedabad. Previously known as the Vande Metro, this high-speed train will cover the 360 km distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes, reaching a top speed of 110 km/h. It will make stops at nine stations and operate daily, departing Bhuj at 5:05 am and arriving in Ahmedabad Junction at 10:50 am.
The inauguration also saw the flagging off of several other Vande Bharat trains on various routes:
* **Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express:** This tri-weekly service will operate on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays starting September 19th.
* **Pune-Kolhapur Vande Bharat Express:** Starting September 18th, this tri-weekly service will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
* **Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express:** This tri-weekly service will operate on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays starting September 19th.
* **Hubballi-Pune Vande Bharat Express:** Beginning September 18th, this tri-weekly service will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
* **Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express:** This service will operate six days a week (excluding Tuesdays) starting September 19th.
* **Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express:** This service will operate six days a week (excluding Tuesdays) starting September 19th.
A notable addition is the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train connecting Varanasi and Delhi. This ultra-modern train, manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, will replace one of the existing services between these cities.
