**New Delhi, September 17, 2024:** India today celebrated Vishwakarma Puja, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and engineer. Devotees across the country paid homage to the creator of the universe by worshipping him and their tools and machinery.
The day is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Diwas and is observed on the 13th day of the bright fortnight in the Hindu month of Magh.
On this special occasion, people exchange greetings and good wishes. Some popular messages shared on social media include:
* “Every moment we chant your name, you remove all our difficulties, you remove the misery of the unfortunate, you are the savior of all, you remove all sorrows.”
* “Those who believe in karma have Lord Vishwakarma with them. They always do good deeds on this holy earth, as long as there is breath in their body.”
The day also saw an outpouring of messages and images wishing a happy Vishwakarma Puja on various social media platforms.
Meanwhile, the nation also celebrates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday today with events taking place across the country. A special 4000-kilogram vegetarian langar has been organized at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
