The call was confirmed upon review, and as per NCAA rules, Taylor will be required to miss the first half of next week’s game against Missouri.
Taylor, a key player and captain, made the hit on Panthers wide receiver Ted Hurst. The play occurred with Georgia State leading 22-17, and the Panthers ultimately scored a touchdown on the drive, extending their lead to 29-17.
