**Philadelphia, PA** – Vice President Kamala Harris continues to maintain a strong lead over former President Donald Trump in the latest polls, with the Democratic candidate holding a six-point advantage among likely voters, according to multiple surveys.
The polls, conducted after Tuesday’s debate, suggest that Harris’s performance, which was widely perceived as a win by voters and pundits alike, has solidified her position as the front-runner in the race.
An ABC News/Ipsos poll taken September 11-13 found Harris ahead 52% to 46% among likely voters, essentially unchanged from her lead in previous polls. Similarly, a Morning Consult poll taken September 11 showed Harris with a significant lead of 50% to 45%.
“The debate appears to have solidified Harris’s lead and solidified voters’ opinions of her,” said [Name of Pollster], a prominent political analyst. “It seems that the majority of voters found Harris to be more prepared, more confident, and more persuasive than Trump.”
While Trump has led Harris in some previous polls, including a Times/Siena poll taken September 3-6, the majority of recent polls have shown Harris with a consistent lead.
The polls also indicate a significant shift in voters’ perception of the candidates since Harris entered the race. A Monmouth University poll released August 14 found Democratic enthusiasm has nearly doubled since Harris’s entrance into the race, from 46% in June to 85% now.
Harris’s lead is particularly strong in battleground states, where she leads Trump in six of the seven states most likely to decide the election, according to a Bloomberg/Morning Consult survey taken August 23-27.
With the election still months away, it remains to be seen whether Harris will be able to maintain her current lead. However, the latest polls suggest that the race has shifted significantly in her favor following a strong debate performance and a surge in Democratic enthusiasm.
