
Mon Sep 16 09:00:24 UTC 2024: ## Modi to Inaugurate Two New Vande Bharat Express Trains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
**Hyderabad, September 16 (IANS)** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off two new Vande Bharat Express trains connecting Nagpur-Secunderabad and Durg-Visakhapatnam on Monday. These trains, part of seven new Vande Bharat services across India, will significantly enhance connectivity and travel time between the respective cities.
The Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express will begin regular services from September 19th, covering the 585 km distance in 7 hours and 15 minutes. This train will offer convenient timings for daytime travel between Nagpur, Balharshah and other towns, reaching Secunderabad. It will make stops at Sevagram, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Ramagundam, and Kazipet railway stations. With a capacity of 1,440 passengers, the train features two Executive class coaches and 18 Chair Car coaches.
The Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, consisting of 16 coaches, will operate six days a week, excluding Thursdays. This train will reduce travel time between the two cities to eight hours, with stops at Raipur, Mahasamund, Khariar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Rayagada, and Vizianagaram. The train will commence operations from September 20th.
A ceremonial function will be held at Secunderabad Railway Station, with the presence of Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar and senior officials.
The new Vande Bharat trains are expected to boost tourism and economic growth in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
