Sun Sep 15 14:43:31 UTC 2024: ## Colorado QB Sanders Refuses Handshake, Calls Out CSU Rival After Dominant Win

Following Colorado’s 28-9 victory over in-state rival Colorado State on Saturday, a heated exchange between the two teams’ quarterbacks took center stage. Colorado’s star quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, refused a post-game handshake from CSU’s Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, citing Fowler-Nicolosi’s previous trash-talking on social media.

Sanders, who led the Buffs to a dominant victory, confronted Fowler-Nicolosi saying, “You done sat there talking s— on Instagram. We handled our business.” The exchange, caught on camera, saw Fowler-Nicolosi roll his eyes and respond, “All right, keep talking,” to which Sanders fired back, “You can’t f— with me.”

This heated exchange stemmed from comments made by Fowler-Nicolosi earlier this week, where he criticized the Buffs’ “trash-talking” leading up to their 2023 victory. Fowler-Nicolosi highlighted how the Rams had ultimately proven their dominance on the field.

However, the Rams’ claims of 2023 dominance seem out of place given their 2024 loss to Colorado, where they struggled offensively. Fowler-Nicolosi completed just 22 of 39 passes for 209 yards, throwing no touchdowns and two interceptions.

Sanders, on the other hand, had a stellar performance, going 36 of 49 for 310 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. His on-field dominance seems to justify his post-game retort, adding further fuel to the in-state rivalry.
