Actress Rakul Preet Singh has revealed that she was initially cast for the role played by Disha Patani in the 2016 blockbuster film “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”. During a recent interview, Singh shared that she had even completed costume and script readings before scheduling conflicts forced her to back out of the project.
Singh expressed her disappointment at missing out on the opportunity, admitting that she was “heartbroken” and even “cried” after realizing she wouldn’t be able to participate. The actress was filming with Ram Charan and Jr NTR at the time and couldn’t adjust her schedule.
In the same interview, Singh also spoke about her personal life, sharing an anecdote about how she once ended a potential relationship because of the partner’s attitude towards her food choices. She described how the man criticized her order, saying, “What are you eating, what is healthy?”, prompting her to walk away.
Singh emphasized the importance of shared values in a relationship, explaining that she and her husband, producer Jackky Bhagnani, share a similar love for healthy eating. She even joked about their “protein bar dates” as a symbol of their shared lifestyle.
The actress, who married Bhagnani in February of this year, was last seen in the film “Indian 2” alongside Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, and SJ Suryah.
