
Mon Sep 16 06:00:05 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi to Inaugurate Multi-Crore Projects in Gujarat, Launch Vande Metro
**Gandhinagar, September 15:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ahmedabad on Sunday for a two-day visit to Gujarat. During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate a slew of development projects worth over ₹8,000 crores, including the launch of India’s first Vande Metro.
The highlight of the visit is the inauguration of RE-INVEST 2024 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on Monday. This event will showcase India’s strides in renewable energy manufacturing and deployment, featuring a two-and-a-half-day conference with international delegates.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for various key projects, including the quadrupling of Samakhiali – Gandhidham and Gandhidham – Adipur railway lines, development of iconic roads in Ahmedabad, and construction of flyover bridges in the city.
He will inaugurate a 30 MW solar system, a 35 Megawatt BESS Solar PV Project in Kutch, and 220 Kilovolt substations in Morbi and Rajkot. PM Modi will also launch the Single Window IT System (SWITS) of International Financial Services Centres Authority, aiming to simplify financial services.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will sanction over 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin, release the first instalment for these homes, and launch construction of houses under the PMAY Scheme. He will also hand over completed houses under the PMAY scheme to beneficiaries.
The highlight of the event is the flagging off of India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad. PM Modi will also flag off several Vande Bharat trains on various routes, including Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi.
