Sun Sep 15 16:08:38 UTC 2024: ## Phillies Reinstate Bohm, Designate Garcia for Assignment

**Philadelphia, PA -** The Philadelphia Phillies welcomed back infielder Alec Bohm to the active roster on Sunday, reinstating him from the 10-day injured list before their 2-1 win over the New York Mets. To make room for Bohm on the 28-man roster, catcher Aramis Garcia was designated for assignment.

Bohm, 28, had been sidelined since September 3rd with a left hand strain. He returned to action in Sunday’s game, going 1-for-4 with a single. The first-time All-Star has been a key player for the Phillies this season, boasting a .290 batting average, 44 doubles (most in the National League), 13 home runs, 89 RBIs, and a .342 on-base percentage.

Garcia, 31, struggled in his short stint with the Phillies, going 0-for-7 with three strikeouts in three games.

Bohm’s return provides a boost for the Phillies as they continue their push for a playoff spot.
