Sun Sep 15 10:21:15 UTC 2024: ## MSP Plumbing, Heating and Air Moves to Woodbury After Century on Grand Avenue

**St. Paul, MN** – After more than a century on Grand Avenue, MSP Plumbing, Heating and Air is leaving its historic location for a larger facility in Woodbury. The company, founded in 1918, has operated on Grand Avenue since 1927. The move, however, is not due to a lack of business but rather a shortage of parking space.

With a fleet of 64 vehicles and a growing team of 70 employees, MSP found its current location too cramped. The company has been renting off-site meeting spaces for several years due to the lack of available space.

The new location at 2415 Ventura Drive in Woodbury offers triple the warehouse space, which will allow for greater efficiency and growth. It also boasts ample parking, a crucial factor in the decision to relocate.

“We adore Grand,” said general manager Dave Napier. “We would stay there forever if we could.” However, he added, “We need to be under the same roof to work efficiently as a tight-knit team.”

The building on Grand Avenue, owned by the Smith family who founded MSP, has been sold to a buyer who has tentative plans for more retail space, possibly including a coffee shop.

While there is sadness about leaving Grand Avenue, Napier expressed excitement for the new beginning. “Everyone is sad to leave Grand, but excited for the new beginning,” Napier said. “Us leaving opens the door for someone else to come in.”

MSP will begin operations in Woodbury on Monday, September 30th, with a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony planned for the spring. Their last day on Grand Avenue is scheduled for September 27th.
