Sun Sep 15 16:19:50 UTC 2024: ## Jane’s Addiction Cancels Bridgeport Show After Onstage Brawl
Alt-rock legends Jane’s Addiction have canceled their Sunday show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after a physical altercation between bandmates Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro during their Friday concert in Boston. The band issued an apology via Instagram, stating, “We want to extend a heartfelt apology for the events that unfolded last night. As a result, we will be canceling tomorrow night’s show.”
The brawl occurred during the band’s performance of their hit song “Ocean Size,” with both Farrell and Navarro exchanging punches. The scuffle was eventually broken up by crew members and fellow bandmate Eric Avery.
According to Farrell’s wife, the altercation was triggered by a combination of Farrell suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat, coupled with his frustration over the “extremely loud” stage volume drowning out his vocals. She alleged that Avery restrained Farrell with a headlock and punched him in the stomach multiple times.
While the band has yet to comment further on the incident, fans are left speculating about the future of Jane’s Addiction, with many hoping the band will be able to reconcile and return to the stage soon.
