Sun Sep 15 14:20:10 UTC 2024: ## Irish Rail Tweaks Timetable for Northern and Western Lines
**Dublin, September 14th** – Commuters using Irish Rail’s northern and western lines are advised to adjust their morning routines, as the company is implementing minor timetable changes effective from Monday, September 16th.
These changes follow the introduction of a new timetable on August 26th, which Irish Rail has acknowledged included “overly ambitious” journey times. The company is also preparing for the launch of a new hourly Dublin-Belfast service in October.
Most notably, morning commuters on the Maynooth and Drogheda lines will see their trains departing earlier, by three to seven minutes in most cases. Evening services will see slightly longer journey times to Maynooth and Drogheda, by three to five minutes, but most departure times remain unchanged.
One Dart service will also see a change in its route. The 6.52am Dublin Connolly-Malahide service will now operate to Howth, while the 7.24am Malahide-Bray service will now commence from Howth at 7.24am.
A minor adjustment has also been made to the 5.20am Connolly-M3 Parkway service, which will now depart later at 5.25am.
All Heuston routes, including Phoenix Park Tunnel services, remain unchanged.
Commuters can find detailed information about the changes, including specific departure times at intermediate stations, on the Irish Rail website.
