Sun Sep 15 03:30:36 UTC 2024: ## Brewers Pummel Diamondbacks with 15-8 Victory, Move Closer to Division Title

**PHOENIX, AZ** – The Milwaukee Brewers continued their dominant run, securing a 15-8 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. The win brings the Brewers’ magic number to clinch the NL Central title down to just 3.

Willy Adames powered the Brewers’ offense with a two-homer night, including a grand slam, driving in a total of 5 RBIs. Garrett Mitchell added a two-run homer and reached base five times.

The Brewers exploded for seven runs in the second inning, all with two outs, to take control of the game. Adames’ grand slam highlighted the inning, ending the night for D-backs pitcher Brandon Pfaadt, who struggled over his past four starts.

Milwaukee’s pitching also performed well, with Tobias Myers giving up four runs over six innings. However, the Brewers’ defense also made key plays, with Sal Frelick robbing Corbin Carroll of a solo home run in the first inning.

The D-backs managed to score eight runs, with Randal Grichuk hitting a two-run homer and Geraldo Perdomo adding a two-run double.

The Brewers go for the three-game sweep Sunday with DL Hall facing off against Zac Gallen.
