Sat Sep 14 14:55:58 UTC 2024: ## EFLU Launches “Swachhata Hi Seva” Campaign for Cleanliness
**Hyderabad:** The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) has launched its “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign, a major cleanliness initiative coinciding with Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The university will host a series of events on campus and in surrounding semi-urban areas from September 14th to October 1st.
EFLU will work alongside local residents in neighborhood cleanliness drives and organize health check-up camps to promote a holistic approach to well-being. The university will also engage in awareness campaigns to educate the public on the importance of cleanliness.
The campaign kicked off with a “Swachhata Pledge” taken by faculty, students, and staff. A “Swachhata Walkathon” across the campus and a tree-planting initiative under the banner of “EkPed Ma Ke Nam” were also organized. Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. T Samson, Registrar Prof. K. Narasimha Rao, Dean of Campus Planning and Development Prof. Srivani, and other senior faculty members led the walkathon.
