Sun Sep 15 02:57:35 UTC 2024: ## Chelsea Manager Focuses on Pitch Amidst Ownership Drama

**Bournemouth, England** – Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has dismissed reports of a power struggle within the club’s ownership, stating his sole focus is on the team’s performance on the field.

The Italian manager, who took charge this season, has confirmed discussions with both co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali. These conversations come amidst rumors of discord within the ownership group, with factions reportedly seeking to buy out each other.

“I am speaking with both,” Maresca assured reporters ahead of his team’s match against Bournemouth. “There is not any problem at all, and as I said my focus is about the pitch because it’s the only thing I can control.”

Chelsea’s ownership has been in flux since 2022 when a consortium led by Boehly and Clearlake Capital acquired the club from Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich. The American owners have reportedly clashed over the club’s direction, leading to a massive spending spree on players that has yielded little success on the pitch.

The Blues have invested over $1.3 billion across five transfer windows, most recently adding winger Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United. The club’s performance, however, remains a point of contention, with the ownership’s internal struggles adding further pressure on Maresca and his team.
