Thu Sep 12 20:36:00 UTC 2024: ## Two Schenectady Men Arrested for Burglaries and Thefts in Clifton Park

**CLIFTON PARK, NY -** Two Schenectady men have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts in the Clifton Park area.

Olijajwuan W. Sheppard, 25, and Johnson Gooden-Prunty, 29, were apprehended following an investigation that began on September 7th. Troopers initially responded to reports of suspicious men in the Castle Pines Drive area, but they were unable to locate them. Shortly after, a man matching the description of one of the suspects was seen entering an unoccupied building on Bruno Road.

Gooden-Prunty was identified as the individual who entered the building and was found in possession of stolen property. A subsequent foot pursuit led to the arrest of Sheppard near Glenbrook Court. Sheppard was also found to be in possession of stolen property.

The suspects are accused of working together to gain access to multiple unsecured vehicles in the area and stealing items from inside. Sheppard is also facing charges related to a burglary in Ballston Spa that occurred in early August, where he allegedly entered a garage and stole items from vehicles.

Both Sheppard and Gooden-Prunty were arraigned and ordered held on $5,000 bail.
