**Albury, NSW** – Two teenagers were injured in a violent assault in North Albury on Thursday evening. Police are appealing for information after a man and a woman, both aged 19, were attacked by a group of three armed with machetes.
The incident occurred around 8:40pm on North Street, near Vine Street. The victims sustained hand and facial injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Albury Hospital. A NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed the man suffered a laceration above his eyebrow.
Police believe the attackers, who fled the scene in a black Ford sedan, are known to the victims. They are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and passengers of the vehicle, as they may have valuable information regarding the attack.
