**Paris, France** – French prosecutors have dismissed a complaint filed against a French-Israeli soldier accused of committing crimes of torture and barbarism during the war. The complaint, filed by three NGOs, stemmed from a video shared on social media in March showing the soldier directing Palestinian prisoners out of a truck while making offensive remarks in French.

The video sparked outrage, with the NGOs arguing it depicted war crimes and crimes against humanity. However, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) closed the case on Monday, citing insufficient evidence.

According to a judicial source cited in the report, the facts presented in the complaint were “insufficiently characterized,” and the supporting evidence did not establish the existence of any “material acts of complicity.”

The NGOs, including the Belgian Association March 30 Movement, French Justice and Rights Without Borders (JDSF), and Al Jaliya Union of Palestinian Association in France, expressed profound shock at the decision.

The March 30 Movement stated on X/Twitter that this was not the end of the matter, implying they will continue to pursue justice in this case.

The dismissal of the complaint has sparked controversy, with critics arguing that the French authorities are failing to hold individuals accountable for alleged war crimes.
