England and Australia are set to face off in a three-match T20I series, beginning Wednesday in Southampton, marking the start of a highly anticipated white-ball tour. The series will be followed by five ODIs.
Australia enters the series on the back of a dominant performance against Scotland in three T20Is, shattering several batting records. This series will be their first major white-ball competition since the T20 World Cup in the West Indies in June, where they failed to reach the semi-finals.
England, meanwhile, will be playing their first white-ball series since their semi-final loss to India in the T20 World Cup. The hosts will be led by opener Phil Salt, who takes over captaincy duties in the absence of regular captain Jos Buttler.
The series will be broadcast on the Sony Sports Network and streamed live on the Sony Liv app in India.
