**Norfolk, NE** – The Daily News published several death notices and obituaries today, highlighting the passing of several local residents.

Services are pending for **Edeltraut M. “Judy” Vyhlidal**, 96, of Madison at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Vyhlidal passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11th.

**Fern M. Koch**, 80, of Norfolk, formerly of Creston, will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11th, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, north of Columbus. The Rev. Paul Rempfer will officiate, and burial will follow at Creston Fairview Cemetery in Creston.

**Laurel, NE** – Services for **Gilmer W. Stark**, 95, of Laurel are pending at Wintz Funeral Home in Laurel.

**Bloomfield, NE** – Services for **Laura Gieselman**, 95, of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14th, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. The Rev. Terry Krueger will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

**Wayne, NE** – Services for **Melvina L. “Melvy” Meyer**, 94, of Wayne are pending with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

**Pierce, NE** – Services for **Berniece M. (Hahn) Hansen**, 83, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Crofton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierce. The Rev. Vincent Germace will officiate, with burial at the church cemetery.

**Ainsworth, NE** – Memorial services for **Cynthia L. “Cindy” Smith**, 76, of Ainsworth will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14th, at the Ainsworth United Methodist Church in Ainsworth.

**Newman Grove, NE** – Inurnment for **Calvin L. “Cal” Kleveland**, 77, of Newman Grove will be at a later date at Hope Cemetery in Newman Grove, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 73 of Newman Grove and the Army Funeral Honor Guard.
