**BECKLEY, WV** – Six West Virginia organizations will receive a combined $2,685,987 in federal funding to support substance use disorder treatment and prevention efforts. The funding, announced by U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, comes from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and was secured through the Fiscal Year 2024 funding bill.

The recipients include:

* **Raleigh County Prevention Coalition:** $125,000 to support drug-free community efforts.
* **The Martinsburg Initiative**
* **Lauren’s Wish Addiction Triage Center**
* **Lily’s Place**
* **Jacobs Ladder**
* **Marshall University**

Senator Manchin emphasized the importance of these organizations in combating the drug epidemic in West Virginia. “This investment of more than $2.6 million will support innovative substance use disorder treatment and prevention efforts, help protect our children, and promote health and wellness across the Mountain State,” he stated.
