**Sumedang, West Java** – The West Java Paragliding Championship 2024 is set to take flight from September 30th to October 6th in Sumedang, with over 100 athletes from 14 countries expected to compete. Preparations are well underway, with officials confirming that all necessary arrangements, including immigration and permits, are in place.

This year’s competition will focus solely on the Cross Country event, departing from Bukit Batu Dua and landing at the Sumedang government center. Secretary of Sumedang Regency, Tuti Ruswati, explained that while previous championships included events like Fun Flying and Accuration, this year’s focus is on the Cross Country competition.

Preparations for the championship are currently at 60% completion, with the remaining 40% to be finalized within the next 20 days. This includes meticulous details such as landing area and take-off area enhancements, infrastructure, and security permits.

The West Java Paragliding Championship is anticipated to be a thrilling spectacle, drawing international attention to the region and showcasing the beauty of Sumedang’s landscape.
