Thu Sep 12 01:30:00 UTC 2024: ## US Tech Giant UKG to Create 200 Jobs in Kilkenny with New Global Operations Hub

**Kilkenny, Ireland -** US-based software company UKG, specializing in HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, is set to establish a global operations hub in Kilkenny, creating 200 new jobs. The announcement was made today by UKG president and chief product and technology officer Hugo Sarrazin, alongside IDA Ireland CEO Michael Lohan and Taoiseach Simon Harris.

This new hub marks a significant expansion for UKG, which has been operating in Kilkenny since acquiring payroll provider Immedis in June 2022. The hub will offer positions in cybersecurity, R&D, and professional services, further strengthening the city’s burgeoning technology sector.

“We’re on a mission to give every organization the opportunity to become a great place to work,” said Sarrazin, highlighting the importance of Kilkenny’s vibrant tech community in supporting this goal. “Our Irish team joins a robust security and network operations group that plays a vital role in safeguarding our solutions for over 80,000 customers worldwide.”

IDA Ireland CEO Michael Lohan emphasized the organization’s focus on creating “high-value job opportunities” in regional locations, praising UKG’s decision as a testament to Ireland’s strong regional technology ecosystem.

Taoiseach Simon Harris welcomed the news, highlighting Kilkenny’s “growing success as a home to leading technology companies.” He praised UKG’s investment as a significant addition to the city’s thriving tech scene.

This announcement follows recent investments by other US companies in Kilkenny, including State Street, which opened a new office building earlier this year, and Abbott, which announced plans to open its seventh Irish manufacturing facility in the city, creating over 800 jobs upon completion.

UKG’s commitment to Kilkenny further solidifies the city’s position as a prominent tech hub in Ireland, attracting international companies and creating significant job opportunities for the local community.
