**NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2024** – Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) has released a series of audio interviews featuring U.S. and Canadian military members who have successfully navigated recovery from alcoholism.
The interviews, conducted between 2020 and 2022, delve into the unique challenges of serving in the military while battling addiction. They provide valuable insights into how these individuals found sobriety and support through A.A., and how they manage the ongoing challenges of recovery while fulfilling their duties.
The interviews are now available on the A.A. website and YouTube channel, offering a platform for sharing the stories of those who have overcome alcohol dependence within the military community.
“The contributions of our A.A. members who have served in the military have been invaluable,” stated Andie Moss, a Class A (non-alcoholic) trustee on the A.A. General Service Board. “These members demonstrate the power of one person who has had a drinking problem talking to another person with the same experience.”
A.A. is committed to making its recovery program accessible to all, regardless of background. To find a local A.A. meeting, contact a local A.A. office or visit aa.org/meeting-guide-app to learn about the Meeting Guide app and how to use it.
