**Vienna, VA** – A group of sophomores at James Madison High School surprised their beloved custodian, Francis Apraku, with his dream car – a cherry red Jeep Wrangler – after a successful fundraising effort. The students, inspired by Apraku’s lifelong love for Jeeps, launched a GoFundMe campaign to purchase the vehicle after he mentioned it as his birthday wish.
The students were determined to give back to the man they affectionately described as a “dear friend” and “a very kind, genuine person.” They were overwhelmed by the community’s response, reaching their $20,000 goal within a week.
“We never really thought it would come this far,” said Logan Georgelas, one of the students involved in the fundraising. “When we got $5,000 in the first day, we were like, alright, this is real.”
