**New Delhi, September 12, 2024:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chief Justice of India Dhananjay Chandrachud’s residence on Wednesday, where he participated in a Gauri-Ganesh puja during Ganeshotsav, has ignited a political controversy. The Opposition has accused the visit of compromising the separation of powers between the judiciary and the executive, while the BJP has countered the criticism as an attack on Hinduism.

Shiv Sena UBT leader and MP Sanjay Raut slammed the PM, linking his visit to the delay in hearing key cases and to the alleged selective suo moto actions of the Supreme Court.
