**New Delhi, India** – MG Motor India has launched its latest electric crossover utility vehicle, the Windsor, marking a significant step in the country’s burgeoning EV market. The Windsor boasts a unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, a first for India’s passenger vehicle segment, making EV ownership more accessible and cost-effective.

The Windsor, priced at INR 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) + INR 3.5 per kilometer for battery rental, offers a range of 331 km on a single charge and can be recharged in just 40 minutes using a DC fast charger. The BaaS program allows buyers to lease the battery instead of purchasing it outright, significantly reducing the initial investment. In addition to the affordable price point, MG Motor India also offers a lifetime battery warranty and a 60% buyback guarantee after three years or 45,000 kilometers.

Beyond its innovative ownership model, the Windsor boasts a host of luxury features, including Aero Lounge seats that recline to 135 degrees, a panoramic ‘Infinity View’ glass roof, and a 15.6-inch ‘Grandview’ Touch Display. These elements create a luxurious and spacious interior experience, aiming to cater to consumers seeking style and practicality in their vehicles.

Powered by a 38 kWh lithium-ion battery and a PMS motor generating 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, the Windsor offers four driving modes (Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport) for a tailored driving experience. The car is also equipped with MG Motor’s i-SMART technology, offering over 80 connected features and more than 100 voice commands.

JSW MG Motor India Director, Parth Jindal, highlighted the Windsor’s potential to redefine the Indian EV market with its advanced features, competitive pricing, and innovative ownership model. The MG Windsor will be available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive, and Essence – and four colors: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green.
