**London, UK:** A damning report by British lawyer Trevor Asserson has accused the BBC of displaying “a deeply worrying pattern of bias” against Israel in its coverage of the recent Israel-Hamas war. The research, analyzing four months of BBC output across various platforms, found over 1,500 breaches of the broadcaster’s editorial guidelines, including those on impartiality, accuracy, and fairness.

The report highlights a significant disparity in the BBC’s language, associating Israel with genocide more than 14 times as often as Hamas. This has led to calls for an independent inquiry into the BBC’s coverage.

Danny Cohen, a former BBC executive, has warned of an “institutional crisis” at the broadcaster, while prominent Jewish groups and Lord Austin, a former Labour minister, have criticized the BBC’s “high-handed arrogance” in dismissing concerns over its impartiality.
