Tue Sep 10 16:38:00 UTC 2024: ## Penn State Shenango to Host “Stamp Out Stigma” Event Focused on Occupational Trauma
**SHENANGO, PA** – Penn State Shenango will host its annual “Stamp Out Stigma” event on Wednesday, March 5th, from noon to 1 p.m. in the campus’ Great Hall. This year, the event will focus on occupational trauma, aiming to raise awareness and promote mental health support for individuals in professions dealing with high levels of stress.
The event will specifically address the needs of first responders, healthcare workers, criminal justice personnel, and Penn State Shenango faculty members. “Stamp Out Stigma” is an annual initiative organized by campus counselor Tony Paglia, aimed at promoting mental health awareness and overcoming the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
The event will be held in March this year, a departure from the usual October timeframe. Organizers believe the earlier date will allow for greater participation and focus on the chosen theme of occupational trauma.
