Mon Sep 09 15:19:56 UTC 2024: ## Italian Sensor Company Gefran Eyes Acquisitions in Germany and North America

**MILAN** – Gefran, a leading Italian sensor specialist, is actively seeking acquisitions in Germany and North America, targeting companies with revenues between €10-20 million. The company’s CEO, Marcello Perini, confirmed their acquisition plans, stating that Gefran has sufficient liquidity to pursue deals without needing to offer buyback programs.

Perini highlighted the German market as a key focus area, but also expressed interest in North American opportunities. Gefran, which operates in 10 countries and generates 70% of its revenue internationally, sees 2025 as a favorable year for completing acquisitions.

While 2023 saw revenues of €132.8 million, the company expects this year to end with comparable revenue but slightly lower margins compared to previous years. Despite a slight decline in sales and net profit in the first half of 2024, Gefran remains committed to its presence on the Milan Stock Exchange and will continue to offer stable dividends.

This news comes amidst a trend of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) leaving the stock market. However, Gefran’s strategy focuses on growth through acquisitions, strengthening its position in the global sensor market.
