**KENOSHA, WI** – Colbert Packaging Corporation, a family-owned printing and packaging business, is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. Founded in Chicago in 1959 by Charles Colbert, the company has grown significantly, now boasting facilities in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Lake Forest, Illinois; and Elkhart, Indiana.

Colbert Packaging specializes in custom folding cartons, rigid setup boxes, and paperboard specialty packages. They are known for their commitment to sustainability, boasting a zero manufacturing waste to landfill policy and investing in wind power renewable energy credits. Their efforts have been recognized by the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Association, who honored their Kenosha facility as a Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment for 2023.

CEO Nancy Colbert MacDougall, daughter of the founder, emphasizes the company’s dedication to both employees and customers. “We’re proud to say, on this anniversary milestone, that we have built a great company based on the strength of our customer relationships, our talented associates who serve them, and our suppliers and industry affiliations,” said John Lackner, Colbert President and COO.

Despite facing challenges such as a pandemic, supply chain disruptions, and labor shortages, Colbert Packaging has demonstrated resilience and adaptability. They continue to invest in new equipment, including a state-of-the-art RMGT printing press, which is expected to be installed by spring 2025. This press will allow them to produce complex and unique graphics for packaging solutions for pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies.

Looking ahead, Colbert Packaging remains committed to innovation and sustainability, aiming to develop new and innovative paperboard packaging solutions while reducing their environmental footprint. As the company enters its 66th year, they remain optimistic about the future, building on a legacy of quality and dedication to their employees, customers, and the environment.
