**CLEVELAND, OHIO** – Cleveland Browns defensive star Myles Garrett acknowledged the frustrations of fans after a disappointing 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The star defensive end, who had two tackles including a sack on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, was met with a chorus of boos from the crowd at Huntington Bank Field.
“They have the right to tell us however they feel,” Garrett told reporters after the game. “If we’re not playing well, they have the right to boo. If we’re kicking a–, they have the right to cheer.”
Garrett, who was named Defensive Player of the Year last season, acknowledged that the Browns’ performance did not meet expectations. “They come in, they pay to see us do well, and we didn’t, and we got to put on a better performance if we expect them to go out there and support us in full force,” he added.
Despite the criticism, Garrett expressed optimism about the team’s ability to bounce back next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. “We have to go out and put on a better performance,” he said. “We have to give them something to be proud of. And today wasn’t our best day, but we gotta go out and come out smoking next week and we will.”
The Browns’ loss was marked by a lackluster offensive performance, with the team managing only 230 yards of total offense compared to the Cowboys’ 260 yards. The Cowboys also found the end zone more frequently than the Browns, despite both teams having 15 first downs.
