Wed Sep 11 04:49:07 UTC 2024: ## Bajaj Housing Finance IPO on Track to Break Records with Over 7.5 Times Subscription

**Mumbai, September 11, 2024:** Bajaj Housing Finance’s mega Initial Public Offering (IPO) is nearing its end, with strong demand seen across investor categories. The IPO, which opened on Monday, September 9, has already received over 7.5 times subscription by the end of Day 2, with the total subscription amount exceeding Rs 38,000 crore.

The strong interest comes from both retail and institutional investors. Non-institutional investors (NII) have bid 16.45 times their reserved portion, while qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) have subscribed 7.46 times. Retail investors have also shown their confidence with a 3.83 times subscription.

If the remaining bids today are strong enough, the total subscription could reach an impressive Rs 1 lakh crore. This would make Bajaj Housing Finance one of the largest IPOs in recent history, surpassing the Rs 1.56 lakh crore bids received for Tata Technologies’ IPO last November.

The strong demand is reflected in the grey market premium (GMP) for the IPO, which has risen to around Rs 60, indicating a premium of over 85% on the issue price. This suggests high investor confidence and expectations for a strong listing.

The IPO, which aimed to raise Rs 6,560 crore, has already secured Rs 1,758 crore from anchor investors. Today, all eyes are on the final day of bidding, where investors will be eager to see if the IPO can truly break records and exceed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark.
