Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodríguez will be sporting a dazzling new look on the field this weekend. Adidas has partnered with Swarovski to create a limited-edition pair of Adizero Impact+ baseball cleats adorned with crystals, which Rodríguez will wear during the Mariners’ home games against the New York Yankees on September 17th and 18th.
Fans can also get a piece of the sparkle as Adidas is releasing 44 pairs of the cleat for purchase on Adidas.com starting September 17th. The limited number was chosen in honor of Rodríguez’s iconic number 44 and baseball legends who have worn the same number. Each pair will retail for $440.
As an added bonus, members of the “J-Rod Squad,” the fan section at T-Mobile Park that Adidas began sponsoring in March 2024, will receive exclusive iced-out T-shirts for the September 17th game. The J-Rod Squad encompasses seats in sections 102-104.
Rodríguez, who joined Adidas as an athlete in March 2023, has made a significant impact on Major League Baseball in his two seasons. The two-time MLB All-Star and Silver Slugger Award winner was also named American League Rookie of the Year in 2022.
With his dazzling new cleats and a loyal fanbase cheering him on, Rodríguez is sure to be a spectacle on the field this weekend.
