**Lufkin, TX** – Week two of the high school football season saw several local teams remain undefeated while others suffered their first losses.

**Chapel Hill** continued its winning streak, defeating No. 10 Gilmer 33-29. **Longview** also remained undefeated, securing a dominant victory over No. 12 Marshall with a score of 42-7. **Kilgore** joined the ranks of the unbeaten, defeating No. 11 Whitehouse 27-7.

**Texas High** continued its impressive start to the season with a 52-35 victory over Argyle Liberty Christian.

**Pine Tree** secured a victory over No. 9 Van with a score of 36-30, while **Lufkin** defeated Nacogdoches 56-0.

Other notable wins included **Center** defeating Spring Hill 49-28, **Sulphur Springs** defeating Greenville 41-20, and **Tyler** defeating Tyler Legacy 43-38.

However, not all local teams were victorious. **Pleasant Grove** fell to Paris 7-0, while **Van** lost to Pine Tree 36-30.
