Thu Jan 01 05:10:00 UTC 2026: Callum Turner Emerges as Frontrunner to Be Next James Bond

London – The search for the next James Bond may be nearing its end, with British actor Callum Turner now the odds-on favorite to take over the iconic role, according to multiple bookmakers. The speculation has been rife ever since Daniel Craig confirmed his departure from the franchise after 2021’s “No Time to Die.”

Paddy Power has Turner, known for his roles in “Fantastic Beasts” and “Masters of the Air,” leading the pack with odds of 5/6. Ladbrokes and William Hill have also placed Turner as the frontrunner.

The franchise is set to undergo significant changes, with Amazon MGM Studios gaining creative control and Denis Villeneuve (“Dune”) slated to direct the next installment, expected to begin production next year.

While Turner is leading the odds, other actors like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Anthony Boyle are also in contention. Previous names floated, such as Idris Elba and James Norton, have either ruled themselves out or deemed themselves too old for the role.

The producers have stated that the next Bond must be male and British, but open to any ethnicity. While speculation continues, fans eagerly await the official announcement of who will be the next 007.
