Patna, India – January 1, 2026 – Dayanand Malakar, a high-ranking Maoist leader with a ₹50,000 bounty on his head, was killed in an encounter with a joint team of the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) and district police in the Teghra area of Begusarai on Wednesday evening (Dec 31, 2025).
