Los Angeles, CA – Netflix is kicking off 2026 with a slate of new movies and TV shows sure to keep viewers glued to their screens. January’s highlights include a Harlan Coben adaptation, a crime drama starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and the highly anticipated return of “Bridgerton” for its fourth season.

Kicking off the month on January 1st is “Run Away,” an eight-episode thriller based on Harlan Coben’s 2019 novel. James Nesbitt and Minnie Driver star as a couple whose lives unravel when their daughter becomes addicted to drugs and disappears. As Simon attempts to clear his name, he is aided by a private investigator (Ruth Jones) with secrets of her own.

True crime fans will want to tune in on January 8th for “His & Hers,” a miniseries starring Tessa Thompson as a news anchor investigating a murder in her hometown. Everyone is a suspect in this mystery filled with old grudges and family secrets.

On January 15th, Netflix offers a dose of British intrigue with “Seven Dials,” based on an Agatha Christie novel. Mia McKenna-Bruce stars as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, an amateur detective trying to solve the mysterious death of a friend. Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman co-star.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon team up in “The Rip,” premiering January 16th. The crime drama follows a team of detectives investigating a cartel stash house in Miami, only to find themselves in a dangerous game of greed and corruption. The movie also stars Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, and Steven Yeun.

Rounding out the month on January 29th is Season 4 of the popular series “Bridgerton.” This season focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his pursuit of a mysterious woman (Yerin Ha) he met at a masquerade ball. Expect more romance, scandal, and social intrigue as the show explores the challenges of finding love within the confines of high society.
