New York Times Games Offers Daily Support for “Connections” Puzzle Enthusiasts

NEW YORK, NY – January 1, 2026 – The New York Times Games is providing a daily online forum for players of its popular word association game, “Connections.” Launched each day at midnight in their respective time zones, the forums, titled “Connections Companion,” offer a space for users to share their solve grids, compare scores, and receive puzzle-solving and emotional support.

These companions feature hints and conversation regarding the puzzle. The article warns players that it contains hints and comments that may contain spoilers.

Each puzzle is rated by The New York Times Games testers on a scale of 1 to 5 based on difficulty. Today’s puzzle is rated 2.5 out of 5. In Connections, each category has a different difficulty level: yellow is the simplest, and purple is the most difficult.

The New York Times Games team also encourages player feedback via email and promotes its Instagram account for solving tips and behind-the-scenes content. Separate forums are available for players of Wordle and Spelling Bee.

Players experiencing technical issues are directed to report them via the game’s settings menu. General questions regarding other New York Times Games, such as Crosswords and The Mini, are also welcomed.

The New York Times Games is also available on Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads.
